Long-term Residency Card E.C. (Card L)

For non-EU citizens residing in Belgium who are not family members of a European national.

Issuance and renewal of this identity document is handled by the Immigration Office.

• "Establishment" for an unlimited stay, issued upon request after a 5 year stay in Belgium
• Allows for certain facilities for settling in another EU country
• Valid for up to 5 years maximum, renewable without conditions

Any person whose identity document is due to expire must present themselves at the counter with a pasfoto no later than a month before the expiration date.
